Introduction to the Adventure Excursions
What to expect...
BE SURE TO VIEW THE PICTORIAL PRESENTATION BELOW!
True Blue will guide you to unique underwater locations, providing participants with unforgettable experiences.
An experience becomes special because of the effect it has on us. When an activity takes some effort to achieve the sense of accomplishment is higher
making it more fulfilling and gratifying.
Physical activities trigger our bodies endorphins, causing us to feel alive and healthy. Different sports activities have unique effects upon our body and mind. Freediving beats them all, but I am biased of course. It is said; one hour of freediving can errase an entire week of stress and clear a persons mind, replacing discomforts with peace, calm and awareness.
With True Blue Excursions you will experience an unforgettable time in the sea. There may be an easy access or there may be a walk to reach the water. The underwater site may be close to the shore or it may take some distance of swimming to reach. Be assured all should be clear as you read on about the different mild, medium and advanced adventures on offer. Beginners will always be taken to basic more safe locations at first.
Persons with previous training and freedive certification levels will enjoy their skills in these settings. Persons with no previous experience will find the information interesting and may find this inspiring and leading them toward proper professional freedive stages and training for certifications of levels 1- 5.
A basic adventure location is one which will be easy to reach with minimum physical requirements, medium is self explanatory and advanced excursions are for individuals interested and capable of a higher level of physical requirement and with previous freedive training or advanced freedive and snorkelling abilities.
An advanced location, may require a longer walk or trek through nature to reach the water. From here a longer swim will be required possibly across open water, to reach one of Ibiza’s sub islands to reach the snorkel and dive location. Once arrived the nature of the underwater setting may be advanced, requiring a more technical diving ability like diving through a tunnel that may be at a depth of 3 to 15 meters or a swim through 20m down and 8m through, the features really vary.
Each excursion is explained in all the necessary stages to ensure everyone is well taken care of and has a clear understanding of the requirements.
Many persons enjoy and take part in the rich and diverse nightlife activities Ibiza has to offer. True Blue Experiences is about special underwater nature and reaching it by physical activity and engaging in physical activity. In order to optimise enjoyment of these excursions it is best to prepare with proper rest, no drugs and correct nutrition. It is recommended not to use stimulants before freediving and one should have eaten 2hrs before to leave proper digestion time. Also the sun and it’s heat is still a factor so the more over all fit we can be the better this experience promises to be.
These excursions are not deemed in particular dangerous especially the basic and medium levels. You are nonetheless advised to know your own limitations and pre-existing physical conditions which may predispose you to specific dangers in relation to the activity. You are advised to have your own insurance in the event that anything might occur.
Spear-guns are not permitted on these excursions.
Basic freedive depths is 10-30 meters / 30-90 feet. Professional APNEA / freedive depths records these days are 90-120 meters / 270-360 feet in the disciplines where a freediver propels themselves down and up naturally.
Always bring plenty of drinking water. Walking, the heat of the sun, swimming and diving all dehydrate the body. Dehydration leaves us tired mentally and physically and it makes the muscles work less efficiently. Proper hydration is important at all times to keep mantal clarity, muscle function and avoid muscle cramps.
If a medium to advanced excursion specifies hiking to the location, please bring suitable hiking shoes as specified in the excursion details, see 1-13 excursions.
A snack is advisable in case you get hungry / tired just before or after the excursion. It will make things more easy and enjoyable.

On a good day this can be very interesting as a medium to advanced location like Isla Murada can be turned into a basic excursion. As there is a water taxi service always available in the port of San Miguel at only €3 each way, this is always an option there.
But other variations can be arranged and set up...
Half days on boats with captain can cost 250-350€ with captain.
We would arrange a solid group of participants and the cost would be divided by the number of participants.
These make for special One Off True Blue excursions. We look forward to finding and discovering the great freedive spots around Formentera. We are 200% up for these excursions!
Generally we require children to be on the stronger and more athletic side of things but we can make arrangements by choosing more easy locations or modifying excursions.
We otherwise lean toward allowing teenagers of age 14 and up to join us with parents or parents consent.
